PSD Energy near Completion of Multiple Scopes at Channel Island Powerstation for Power and Water - Generation

PSD Energy are nearing completion of a 12-month scope of works at Channel Island Power station. The scope involved the Design and fabrication of a 415V/ 2,500A switchboard, MCC's, Installation of two 1.5MVA Transformers, relocation of a Generator Turbine, associated civil works, temporary generation support and the associated cable racking for the 3.3kV and 415V feeder cabling. "Our main challenges faced were due to the nature of the brownfield site, our experienced site crew pulled together to tackle the challenges faced and have endured through the 35 degree heat day after day" (Mark Redelinghuys - Project Manager)
The Switchboard was designed, manufactured and Tested thoroughly in PSD Energy's Adelaide head office and was installed onsite without a hiccup.
PSD Energy are also nearing completion of a control cabling scope for Generator #4 which is on schedule for online commissioning by early July this year.
